Listen to Me

Once again, I find myself in the position of telling all of you how to handle ADD symptoms and realizing that I don’t listen to my own advice.

One of the thngs I always, always say is to make sure to take regular breaks (every 15-20 minutes)when you are studying or doing any sort of activity that requires heavy duty thinking. Your brain needs the rest so that it can properly store what you’ve put in. (That means those breaks you take to go to the kitchen and get chips when you’re watching tv don’t count.)

So tonight, I have been a whirlwind of activity, all designed to benefit you: newsletters, new products, and research. Lots of heavy duty thinking going on, expecially when it comes to the technological end of things.

Three and a half hours into my frenzy, I decide to go downstairs and grab a snack. (Celery, not chips.)

That’s when it occurs to me - um, a break every 3 1/2 hours? Not so good. Is it any wonder I’m feeling frazzled?

Isn’t it cool how I continue to learn from myself while informing you? Must be the sign of a great teacher…… or a sort of slow student. Hmmmm.
